Having a boyfriend who has an involved opinion about fashion is so much fun- I didn't even notice this dress until David pulled it off the rack while we were shopping the other day and literally said that I had to try it on. I love how it has a vintage feel to it and that it incorporates mixed prints in the loveliest of ways; I feel like I am wearing a beautifully intense watercolour painting. There is so much to be said about a piece that makes you feel feminine and pretty, and the fact that the boyfriend is a fan of it makes it that much sweeter!
I wore it to dinner with David to a newly opened restaurant before I left on my trip. It was on and off raining when these photos were being taken, hence the Samurai sword umbrella present in some of the photos ;)

Nice dress! My boyfriend is also good with picking up things for me, it's nice to go shopping with him (when he is in the mood, he's still a guy!)
I really like the clutch, it has an eighties feel to it. Is it new or vintage?

I love that Eli loves to shop with me.. and definitely gives me his opinion too. He's an "enabler"... always wanting me to get a new pair of shoes or a pretty new dress. So beautiful Jen! I will always be jealous about the fact that David is so involved in your fashion choices and actually has fun shopping with you...Matt and I very hesitantly went shopping for the first time in THREE years recently and just managed to scrape by without fighting. And that's only cause we were shopping for him haha.

I just recently discovered your blog and i absolutely love it! I back tracked all the way to this post and saw your samurai umbrella. I actually have the exact same one and I had to say something! :D Did you get yours in Taiwan cause that's where I got mine! They also have shot gun umbrellas now but I was too scared to get it cause I didn't know if I would run into trouble at the airpot security. :P
