Between the Lions

by Jen on Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Although it's frequently teeming with birds (one of my greatest fears) and the smell of marijuana, I still think that the outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery is one of the prettiest spots to photograph in the city. It's about as grand as architecture gets here, and it also happens to provide the perfect canvas for blog photos. I've been blessed enough to have several of my friends help snap some photos at this spot while spending downtown (see here, here, here) but I think these recent ones by a girlfriend are my favourite so far. Do you have a favourite spot for photos in your city? I'd love to know!

The art gallery is such a lovely place to shoot from, your description of it made me laugh so hard, it reminded me of a place in my town, full of birds and same smell ha ha. About the outfit I love the combo you created, so different and chic, love the cobalt color on you!

The lions remind me of one of my favorite spots in my city - the Art Institute of Chicago. You look lovely.

Jen fabulous outfit! Especially the blue and leopard print. I really need to purchase a pair of white pants..you've convinced me!

And the scenery is indeed lovely. I LOVE old architecture (hence why I am in love with Europe :P) xo

I love those Pour La Victoire shoes! They kind of look like the J Crew Wedges I love so much. The nude is super flattering as well!

That library looks lovely. I wish we had nice places like that to take pictures. Unfortunately all we have are farm fields and perhaps some coffee shops.
You look great, as always!!

That jacket wants to be on my body.

And the location and your glam outfit totally reminds me of Blair Waldorf ruling the New York Library steps with authority and style. :)

Diggin' it.

I love shooting at the Art Gallery too! The Convention Centre is also a great location, especially at golden hour. As for your outfit, I like how you added a punch of colour with the cobalt against the neutrals of your crisp white jeans and leopard jacket.
