Easy Chic

by Jen on Thursday, May 31, 2012

Comfortable. Easy. Versatile. Not typically the adjectives used describe something more dressy, but those are the exact words I would use for this piece that Ministry of Retail sent over recently. The dress not only makes for seriously easy dressing but also lets the accessories shine, since it's essentially a blank canvas with just a slight bit of drama in the slit.
How would you accessorize this dress?

Wearing: Ministry of Retail dress (c/0), Zara scarf and shoes, vintage belt, DKNY bag

Simple but so beautiful!
It's always about the little details and you really rock that look with the golden details on your bag! ♥

It's such a classic dress with a twist. Love the way you have oomphed it up with animal print.

I would accesorize it with my wide mint and pearls belt, and, silver high-heeled peep toes. It would be the perfect black dress for a summer night!

I love this dress. You styled it beautifully with the neutrals and leopards. A belt is definitely a must to give it some shape around the waist. I think fun electric blue accents would be cool too.

Stunning look, Jen! I love how all your accessories help shape this simple dress. I really do need to learn how to accessorize like you. I'm terrible at it. I need a crash course!

NY update, please? :) xo

I adore this look!!! There's something about black and camel...and gold! Very classic NYC, timelessly chic.

Love the look. I would have accessorized with peachy pink colors [light colors] to give it more of a summer vibe and probably used wedges. I'm still a fan of this look!

Great dress! Those gold buttons really make it unique. You really made it "you" with the leopard scarf and red nails.

The slit in the dress adds such a sexy factor to it! It's very Angelina Jolie.

Love this dress! Never would have thought this length dress would work on a petite frame, but it so does. Might need to find me something similar :)

Easy chic indeed, what a pretty dress! Love seeing you in a basic piece like this. I would probably also add a belt in the waist and a pretty statement necklace in a jewel tone.

Have a great weekend! xo Leonie

To dress it down a little, I would wear it with a thin, neon belt and maybe some wedges. I love how you're wearing it though!

Cute blog from what I've seen so far, by the way. I just linked to you from eatsleepwear.com. If you'd ever like to check out my personal style blog, it's at sarahsreallife.wordpress.com.
